SECL Recruitment: On April 08, 2026, South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) published a recruitment notification for 1055 posts in various departments.

Eligibility Criteria

To become an eligible employee of SECL, a candidate must fulfill the following criteria:

For the post of Mining Sirdar,

👉 Candidate must have attained the minimum age of 18 years as on the cut-off date(08-04-2026), and the age should not exceed 30 years.

👉 Matriculate or equivalent Examination from any recognized Board of Examination.

👉 Diploma in Mining Engineering of 03 years duration, or Degree in Mining Engineering, or any other equivalent qualification, is permissible

For the post of Surveyor

👉 Candidate must have attained the minimum age of 18 years as of the cut-off date (08-04-2026), and age should not exceed 30 years.

👉 Matriculate or equivalent Examination from any recognized Board of Examination.

👉 Degree or Diploma in Mining/ Mine Surveying Engineering.

For the post of Assistant Foreman (Electrical)

👉 Candidate must have attained the minimum age of 18 years as of the cut-off date (08-04-2026), and age should not exceed 30 years.

👉 Matriculate or equivalent Examination from any recognized Board of Examination.

👉 Diploma or relevant and higher qualification (minimum 3 years course) in Electrical Engineering from any institution recognized by the Government.

Salary Details

Candidates selected for the above post will get the following basic salary:-

👉 Mining Sirdar = Rs. 47330.25 per month

👉 Surveyor = Rs. 47330.25 per month.

👉 Assistant Foreman (Electrical) = Rs. 47330.25 per month

SECL Selection Process

👉 The selection procedure will consist of computer-based testing (CBT) only. According to a notification issued by Coal India Limited, personal interviews have been cancelled.

👉 Eligible candidates fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria as per the cut-off date specified under this recruitment notification are required to appear for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) as declared by them.

👉 Candidates will be provisionally called to appear for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) only based on a declaration regarding their eligibility as mentioned in the application form.

👉 The claims of the candidate(s) supporting his/her eligibility for the post applied for will be investigated/ verified after declaring the results of the computer-based test.

👉 Such scrutiny/ verification will be conducted only for candidates who are provisionally selected as per the merit list based on CBT scores.

👉 Qualifying marks in Computer-Based Test (CBT):

👉 The final merit panel will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the computer-based test.
