IRB GD Recruitment Eligibility Criteria:

To become an IRB GD Constable, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:-

IRB GD Age Limit:

The age limit will be fixed from 10/04/2026 for the following posts:

The upper age limit of 5 (five) years has been relaxed for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes of Arunachal Pradesh.

• Candidate’s age must be between 18 and 22 years old.
• For the post of Fireman and Special Tiger Guard under STPF, the age must be between 10 and 32 years old.
• The upper age limit of 5 (five) years has been relaxed for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes of Arunachal Pradesh.

IRB GD Educational Qualifications:

Candidate must have passed Class 10 (Matric) or equivalent from a recognized board. For the post of Constable Band (IRBn) (reserved for male candidates), they must know how to play the band 🥁, and for the post of Constable Bugler (IRBn) (reserved for male candidates), they must know how tow to play bugle 🎷.

IRB GD Recruitment Selection Process:

Candidates who applied for the position of Constable Band (IRBn), Constable Bugler (IRBn), Constable (IRBn), Constable Civil Police(Female), Constable Civil(Male), and Fireman will consist of a 3-stage selection process.

Candidates who applied for the post of Special Tiger Guard under STPF will go through 2 stage of selection process.

The above-mentioned 3 stages of the selection process are discussed below:-

Stage – 1: Written Examination(Multipul Choice Questions) –

The test will comprise the following subjects:

Note:- A candidate must obtain a minimum mark of 33% or above in the written examination paper. Candidates who score less than 33% marks overall will be considered ineligible for selection. There are no negative marks.

Stage – 2: Physical Standard Test (PST). Physical Efficiency Test GET) and Trade Test-

Candidates for all posts are required to possess PST and PET qualifications as mentioned against each post in this advertisement.

The candidates for post Constable Band (IRBn) and Constable Bugler (IRBn) will have to qualify for the Trade Test.

Stage – 3: Medical Fitness Test-

Candidates for all posts are also required to qualify for a medical fitness test, as mentioned against each post code in this advertisement.

IRB GD Recruitment Application Fee:

Candidates belonging to the APST category will have to pay Rs 150, and candidates belonging to the unreserved category will have to pay Rs 200 during the online application.
